The proceedings are the official record of all the peer reviewed submissions presented at iPres 2022, ensuring visibility and promotion of both academic research work and the projects and initiatives of institutions involved in digital preservation practices.
Submissions that are accepted for inclusion in the conference will appear in the digital-only proceedings of the conference. The proceedings will include:
- Full text of the accepted long papers and short papers, with an option to work up panels, posters, workshops and hack-a-thons as short papers
- Abstracts of the accepted panels, posters, workshops, tutorials, and hack-a-thons
After the review notifications, authors of the accepted papers will have an opportunity to edit their submissions for the final version to be published during the conference. All authors will be given the opportunity to update their contributions based on the discussions during the conference. Final revisions are due 27th October (six weeks after the end of the conference) and proceedings are scheduled for release on World Digital Preservation Day, 3rd November 2022.
In order to make the conference proceedings ‘FAIR’, (Findable Accessible Interoperable and Reusable) we will encourage the use of persistent identifiers for authors and papers. Authors are asked to add an ORCID-ID to their contribution being a means of persistent identification for contributors. ORCID-IDs are widely used within the academic sector and can be generated for free at https://orcid.org/. The conference proceedings will be archived in a long term preservation repository and every contribution will receive a persistent identifier.
